With Mr Muzzle in my red travel bag, we travel all over the British Isles to collie meet-up walks and events. The reason that I have a yellow ribbon on my lead is because this is a recognised sign to others and indicates a nervous dog. The Yellow Dog Project scheme is aimed at increasing awareness of dogs with difficulties such as mine and asking other dog owners or minders to respectfully bear this in mind if their dog is off its lead. I sometimes even wear my smart yellow ‘I need space’ vest which gives off an even clearer message to humans.
